These are the main international cat registries: FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline), WCF (World Cat Federation), CFA (Cat Fanciers Association), TICA (The International Cat Association), LOOF (Livre Officiel des Origines Félines, France), and GCCF (Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, UK). How do I know a cattery is registered and reputable?
All catteries listed on Cat Breeder Directory are registered with at least one recognised international cat organisation (FIFe, WCF, CFA, TICA, LOOF, or GCCF). However, we are not able to independently verify every breeder’s current status. We recommend researching the breeder further, asking other breeders for references, and never sending money without first verifying the cattery. Do not transfer funds without being confident in who you are dealing with. We are actively working on better verification tools. In the meantime, we do our best to remove any fraudulent listings as soon as they are reported.
