EMS Code Trainer for Cat Breeders
Free & interactive – for FIFe, WCF, LOOF, GCCF, ACF and more.
The Easy Mind System (EMS) for cat breeders appears on every pedigree and show catalogue worldwide. This trainer helps you learn all codes by heart – breeds, colours, patterns and eye colours.
What is the EMS System?
EMS stands for Easy Mind System – the universal code standard for pedigree cat breeding, used by FIFe, WCF, LOOF, GCCF, ACF, CCCA, NZCF, SACC and TICA. Every code segment has a fixed meaning, regardless of breed or federation:
MCO n 22 61
Maine Coon · Black · Blotched Tabby · Blue eyes
- Breed (3 letters) – MCO = Maine Coon, PER = Persian, BSH = British Shorthair, SIA = Siamese, RAG = Ragdoll
- Colour (letter) – n = black, a = blue, b = chocolate, d = red, w = white
- Pattern (2 digits) – 22 = blotched tabby, 25 = ticked tabby, 33 = colourpoint
- Eye colour (2 digits) – 61 = blue, 62 = orange/copper, 64 = green
