Introduction
The Balinese is an elegant longhaired cousin of the Siamese, sharing the same striking blue eyes and colour-point pattern but with a silky, flowing coat. Intelligent, vocal, and deeply affectionate, the Balinese is a devoted companion.
History
The Balinese emerged from longhaired Siamese kittens in the 1950s. Rather than being considered a fault, these naturally occurring variants were developed into a distinct breed.
Appearance
The same svelte body as the Siamese, with a medium-length silky coat. They display colour-point patterns in seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac.
Character
Vocal, intelligent, and highly social, forming strong bonds with owners and enjoying all household activities. Playful and energetic.
