Introduction
The British Longhair is the longhaired version of the British Shorthair, sharing the same round face and dense build but with a luxurious flowing coat. Calm, gentle, and adaptable, ideal for families and apartment living.
History
British Longhairs emerged naturally from crosses between British Shorthairs and Persian or other longhaired cats. They gained separate breed recognition in Europe.
Appearance
Round, broad head with full cheeks, stocky body, and a dense semi-long coat in a wide variety of colours and patterns.
Character
Calm, patient, and affectionate without being demanding. Independent enough to cope with time alone and gentle with children.
