Introduction
The Korat is one of the oldest rarest natural cat breeds from Thailand where it symbolises good fortune. With its heart-shaped face, silver-blue coat, and luminous green eyes, it is a beautifully devoted companion.
History
Appears in ancient Thai manuscripts dating back to the 14th century. Introduced to the West in the 1950s. In Thailand, Korats are given as gifts for good luck.
Appearance
Medium-sized semi-cobby body with a heart-shaped head. Silver-blue coat with silver tipping creates a halo effect. Large luminous green eyes.
Character
Gentle, loving, and highly intelligent. Forms very strong bonds with owners. Sensitive to loud noises, preferring calm, stable environments.
