Introduction
The Peterbald is an elegant hairless Russian breed with almond-shaped eyes, large ears, and a wedge-shaped head reminiscent of the Oriental Shorthair. Affectionate, social, and energetic, Peterbalds are devoted companions.
History
Created in 1988 in St. Petersburg, Russia, through crossing an Oriental Shorthair with a Donskoy. Recognised by the Russian Felinological Federation in 1994.
Appearance
Slender, muscular, elegant body with a narrow wedge-shaped head. Coat ranges from completely hairless to fine peach-fuzz to short velour. All types warm and soft to the touch.
Character
Affectionate, curious, and highly social. Form strong bonds with owners. Active and playful, very vocal communicators.
