History
Discovered in 1961 on a farm in Scotland when a kitten named Susie was born with unusually folded ears. Due to health concerns associated with the fold gene, the breed remains controversial in some countries.
Appearance
Round, cobby body with a rounded head and distinctive folded ears that lie flat against the head. Available in both straight-eared and folded variants, all colours and patterns, short and longhaired.
Character
Gentle, calm, and adaptable. Known for sitting in unusual positions including flat on their back. Very sweet-natured companions.
