Introduction
The Singapura is the smallest of all cat breeds, originating from Singapore where it is known as the drain cat. Despite its tiny size, the Singapura has a big personality — curious, active, and deeply affectionate.
History
Discovered in Singapore in the 1970s by Hal and Tommy Meadow and brought to the USA. Recognised by the CFA in 1988 and has remained a rare and prized breed.
Appearance
Very small cats with a compact muscular body, large ears, and large expressive eyes. Distinctive sepia-toned agouti coat — the only accepted colour for the breed.
Character
Lively, curious, and very affectionate. Highly active despite small size. Known for peering around corners and being interested in everything happening around them.
