The Thai cat, also known as the Traditional or Old-Style Siamese, is the original Siamese type with a moderate apple-headed build and expressive blue eyes. A vocal, affectionate, and deeply loyal companion.
History
Represents the original form of the Siamese as it existed in Thailand for centuries before breeders developed the extreme wedge-head modern type. TICA recognises the Thai as a separate breed.
Appearance
Medium-sized moderately foreign body with a rounded head, moderately large ears, and deep blue slightly slanted eyes. Short, glossy coat in traditional colourpoint patterns.
Character
Vocal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to their owners. Intelligent, interactive, and enjoy being involved in all household activities. Generally slightly calmer than modern Siamese.
